Sync active permits from Offstreet to OpsCommander for real-time handheld enforcement
Offstreet integrates with OpsCommander to automatically push permit data to your enforcement system. Once connected, enforcement officers can validate licence plates in real time without manual input.
Integration Overview
This is a push-based integration. Offstreet sends licence plates and permit data to OpsCommander using your provided API token, Integration ID, and mapped Enforcement Zones. These zones must match exactly as they appear in your OpsCommander system.
What You’ll Need
Requirement | Description | Who Provides It |
---|---|---|
Integration ID | Unique identifier used to connect to your OpsCommander zone (e.g., OC_Lot12 ) | You |
Enforcement Zones | Zone names that match exactly as they appear in OpsCommander (case-sensitive) | You |
API Token | Used to authenticate the integration | You (or OpsCommander) |
Company Name / ID | Internal identifier for Offstreet configuration | Offstreet |
Step-by-Step Setup
1. Send Required Details
To begin the integration, send the following to your Offstreet contact:
- Integration ID (e.g.,
OC_VisitorLot
) - A list of Enforcement Zones (as they appear in OpsCommander)
- Your API Token from OpsCommander Support
Suggested Email Template:
Subject: OpsCommander Integration Setup – [Client Name] Hi [Offstreet Contact], We’re ready to set up our integration with OpsCommander. Here are the details: - Integration ID: OC_Lot12 - Enforcement Zones: Lot A, Staff Parking, Visitor Lot - API Token: [paste securely] Let us know if you need anything else. Thanks, [Your Name]
2. Offstreet Configures the Integration
Once we receive your information, Offstreet will:
- Set up the integration in our backend
- Link your Offstreet locations to the matching OpsCommander zones
- Test permit syncing with no additional action required from your team
3. Test the Connection
Offstreet will create a test registration (e.g., plate TEST123
). You or your enforcement contact will confirm the plate appears in OpsCommander. Once confirmed, the integration is live.
Troubleshooting Tips
Issue | What to Check |
---|---|
Plate doesn’t appear in OpsCommander | Confirm that the Integration ID and Enforcement Zone names match exactly |
API error during setup | Ensure the API Token is valid and not expired |
Zones not appearing | Double-check case sensitivity and formatting in the OpsCommander admin console |
