Sync permit data from Offstreet to Vigilant for licence plate recognition (LPR) enforcement
Offstreet integrates with Vigilant Solutions to support automated LPR enforcement. Once configured, Offstreet securely pushes permit data to your Vigilant environment—no manual uploads or lookups required.
Integration Overview
This is a push-based integration. Offstreet sends real-time permit data to Vigilant via secure API credentials. Each Offstreet location is mapped to a zone in Vigilant, allowing enforcement to verify licence plates automatically through LPR devices.
If you have not yet subscribed to Vigilant’s API integration services, please contact their sales or support team to activate it before proceeding.

Step-by-Step Setup
1. Request API Access from Vigilant
Contact your Vigilant Account Manager or Support Team and request API credentials for integration.
Suggested Email Template:
Subject: Request for API Access – Offstreet Integration Hi [Vigilant Rep Name], We’re working with Offstreet to enable a parking integration with Vigilant for LPR enforcement. Could you please enable API access for our account and provide the following credentials so we can complete the integration? - API Username - API Password Let me know if you need anything else from our side. Thanks, [Your Name]
2. Offstreet Configures the Integration
Once the credentials are received, Offstreet will:
- Set up your integration in the Offstreet system
- Map each Offstreet location to a unique zone in Vigilant (e.g.,
oslot444
) - Push test permit data to validate the connection
3. Authorize the Connection in Vigilant
You will need to log into your Vigilant Client Portal to complete the connection:
- Locate the test permit(s) sent from Offstreet
- Add the entries to your Authorized Entries list
This step finalizes the sync and enables automatic permit validation.
4. Go Live
Once the test entries are approved:
- Offstreet begins sending active permits in real time
- No ongoing manual input is required
- You can add new locations at any time by sharing the name and confirming the integration name (zone ID)
Adding New Locations Later
If you’re already integrated and want to add more zones:
- Send the new location name(s) to your Offstreet contact
- Offstreet will configure each one using your existing integration
- A test session will be pushed for validation
Troubleshooting Tips
Issue | What to Check |
---|---|
Test plates don’t appear | Confirm the entries were approved in the Vigilant Client Portal |
No data received from Offstreet | Verify API credentials are correct and REST API access is enabled |
Permits not working in some zones | Ensure each Offstreet location has a unique integration name (Zone ID) |
