Archiving and Restoring

What Is Archiving?

Archiving helps keep your dashboard clean by allowing you to hide items you no longer need in your day-to-day workflow—without permanently deleting them. Archived items are hidden from default search lists, ready to be restored at any time!

How Archiving Works

  • Archived items are hidden from your default views.
  • You can show them at any time using a “Show Archived” filter.
  • Archived items are read-only and don’t appear in drop-down or selection lists.
  • You can restore an item at any time with “Restore”.
  • Reports can include or exclude archived items, depending on your selected filters.

What Can Be Archived Today?

Events can currently be archived and restored. Archiving an event removes it from your default views while keeping all of its data accessible when needed.

✔️ Archived events can be restored at any time.
✔️ Archived events and associated permits remain available for reporting and historical reference.

Please note - Archiving active events does not automatically void the associated permit.

What’s Coming Next?

We'll be adding archiving and restoring options to more areas of the platform:

  1. Tenants — next
  2. Locations
  3. Users
  4. Permit Types

These groups will receive the same archive and restore capabilities that Events have today.
