Push Offstreet permits to REEF’s VPL handheld enforcement system
Offstreet integrates with REEF’s Pay-By-X (PBX) platform to send active permit data directly to the Valid Parker List (VPL) used by handheld enforcement devices. Once set up, license plates registered in Offstreet automatically sync with REEF’s enforcement system.
Integration Overview
Offstreet uses the Pay-By-X integration to push license plates to REEF's enforcement environment. This allows REEF patrol devices to validate parking sessions against real-time Offstreet data.
Each Offstreet location is linked to a PBX ID, created using your Lot Number and Branch Number.
Offstreet generates the PBX ID for you—no manual formatting is needed.
What You’ll Need
Requirement | Description | Who Provides It |
---|---|---|
Lot Number | Identifies the location in REEF’s system | You or your REEF contact |
Branch Number | Used with the Lot Number to generate a PBX ID | Offstreet or REEF |
PBX ID | Unique identifier used to link Offstreet with REEF’s VPL | Offstreet (once Lot is confirmed) |
Step-by-Step Setup
1. Send Lot Details to Offstreet
Provide the following to your Offstreet account manager:
- The Lot Number from your REEF account manager
- The Offstreet locations that should be linked to PBX
Offstreet will identify the appropriate Branch Number and generate your PBX ID(s).
2. Offstreet Sets Up the Integration
Once we receive your Lot Number(s), Offstreet will:
- Generate the PBX ID(s)
- Enable the PBX integration for your company and locations
- Handle all backend configuration—no additional steps required from you
3. Request Lot Configuration in REEF
After your PBX ID is generated, send the following request to your REEF account manager:
Suggested Email Template:
Hi [REEF Contact Name], We’re setting up Offstreet for [Location Name] and would like the lot configured in Pay-By-X to send license plate data to enforcement. Details: - PBX ID: [e.g., 9-132] (provided by Offstreet) Please let us know once the setup is complete. Thanks, [Your Name]
4. Run and Confirm a Test
Once REEF confirms that the lot has been configured:
- Offstreet will send a test registration (e.g., plate:
TEST123
) - You or your REEF contact should confirm the plate appears in the PBX Valid Parker List (VPL)
Once verified, the integration is considered live.
Optional: Zone Override Feature
If you manage multi-lot setups or tenant-specific zones, Offstreet can enable Zone Override. This allows Offstreet to automatically assign a Zone Name to each permit based on location or tenant configuration.
Contact your Offstreet account manager if you'd like to enable this feature.
