Understanding the Dashboard Homescreen
This new dashboard gives users a clear snapshot of permit activity across their organization. It surfaces near real-time data, highlights trends, and helps reduce the time it takes to access key insights.
What this dashboard helps answer:
- How much activity occurred in the selected time range?
- How does that compare to the previous period?
- What types of permits were issued, and how were they paid for?
Key Metrics
Total Sessions
Shows the number of sessions issued during the selected time range. The percentage change below reflects growth or decline vs. the previous equivalent period.
Lots Used
Represents how many locations had active permits. If this number stays constant while volume shifts, it may indicate changing demand at those same locations.
Session Value
The sum of all rates attached to sessions (e.g., permits, registrations, events) created during the selected time period—regardless of whether they've been paid yet or not.
Charts
Session Breakdown
Shows the current breakdown of active permits by source, including event-permits, registrations, permits, and external permits from sources like PayByPhone.
Rate Breakdown
Breaks down what volume of permits have a rate vs. those that don't have a rate attached.
Future Enhancements
We're just getting started—more visual insights will be added as we continue to expand the dashboard's capabilities.
Events Panel
Displays all events that are active today, as well as those starting soon. Users can view registration counts or jump into an event to manage permits.
Access & Permissions
The new dashboard is available to users with all of the following roles:
- Read Company
- Read Locations
- Read Location
- Users can only see activity from the location they have access to.
Those without these roles will continue to see the legacy dashboard.
