What is a Permit?


A Permit is an entity that defines and manages parking permissions for one or more vehicles. When creating or managing permits, there are a few key attributes that help define and identify a single permit:


How to Create a Permit in Offstreet

You can create a Permit in 4 different ways: 


Create a single permit

For users who need to create a permit for one vehicle at a time.


Create multiple permits

For users who want to create permits for several vehicles simultaneously.


Bulk upload permits with a template

For users who prefer to upload a list of vehicles using a template.


Bulk upload permits from a blank sheet

For users who prefer to upload a list of vehicles using a blank sheet.



Applying Settings to Permits

When managing parking permits in Offstreet, administrators have the ability to apply specific settings to ensure that permits are issued in accordance with the rules and limitations set by your organization. 

Max Permits per Tenant Rule

This setting allows you to limit the number of permits that can be active for a specific tenant at any given time.


Max Vehicles per Permit Rule

This setting controls the maximum number of vehicles that can be associated with a single permit.


Collect Additional Information

This setting allows you to capture extra details that may be relevant for managing permits.
